ROUNDS 5 & 6 - GEARBOX PROBLEMS HALTS FOSTER AND REDWOOD PROGRESS | 29.06.07 Snetterton was a disappointing event for the Redwood and Foster pairing. However, despite that Redwood left the meeting in a positive mood Redwood stated "We have struggled with handling problems all year and have not been able to get a balance on the Avon tyres. Myself and Nick decided on Saturday that we would start again on setup and i would do the entire test session experimenting with the car. We made a major setup advance and the handling issues were greatly reduced. In fact, by Sunday morning's warm up we were forth quickest. Its a shame, because Nick started the race and carried on with a good pace, but the gearbox failed after 30 minutes of the 2 hour race, and we therefore could not demonstrate our true potential". Redwood and Foster are confident that the setup changes that were made could transform their fortunes this year, and cant wait for the next race meeting at Brand Hatch on the 15th July. << back to news
