Circuit Info
There's no other way of saying it:
Snetterton is a bit grim! It's another airfield turned
race track but sadly it's just never really scrubbed up.
That's not to say that it's bad circuit - far from it.
It just lacks the ambience of some of the UK's more
pastoral parkland circuits.
But when you're in the car that hardly
matters and from a driving point of view Snetterton has
plenty of challenges. A fast lap at Snetterton is all
about carrying your speed onto the straights even though
the fastest corner of all - Coram - doesn't have a much
of a straight after it at all, just the very slow
Russell Bend. Slipstreaming is an art form at Snetterton
just ask your average Caterham driver who's had the
misfortune of leading into the last lap and ended fifth
at the flag.
Magic moment
Has to be Coram. In many cars this
right-hander is flat-out and in a road car you will
really feel the tyres working as they fight against
forward and sideways motion.
